Common questions

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions purchased on iPhone or iPad are managed through Apple: open the Settings app → your name → Subscriptions, or in Privateer go to Subscription → Manage. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and its encrypted data and cannot be undone.

I forgot my password — can I recover my data?

No. Privateer encrypts your content with a key derived from your password, and we never store that key. This is what keeps your data private — but it also means a forgotten password cannot be recovered, and the encrypted data tied to it cannot be restored. Please choose a password you'll remember.

How private is my data?

Your messages and images are encrypted on your device and stored only as ciphertext — we never keep them in readable form. To generate a response, your prompt is sent to an AI model to process; we route to zero-data-retention providers, and confidential (TEE) models process your prompt inside a secure enclave the provider itself can't read.

What is the Privateer Agent CLI?

A free, open-source command-line coding agent you can link to your Privateer account. Run /login in the agent, approve the code in the app, and drive it from your phone. Details and install instructions are at privateer.pro.

How do I report a bug or request a refund?

Email support@privateer.pro for bugs or account issues. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
