Everything you do with AI (chat, image and video generation, web search) spends from that credit at Privateer's per-model rates, so lighter models stretch your allowance further. The allowance refills to its full amount at each renewal.

Monthly allowance credit doesn't roll over — it resets to the full amount at each renewal. Top-up credit is different: it never expires, rolls over indefinitely, and is only spent after your monthly allowance runs out.

You can top up any time — $5, $10, $20, or $50 — right from the app, no subscription required. Top-up credit never expires. If you keep running out, upgrading a tier gives you a bigger monthly allowance plus more usage headroom.

Until 30 September 2026, GPT-5.6 Luna runs free on Navigator and above — Luna turns don’t draw down your credit. It applies to active Navigator, Captain and Enterprise subscriptions, in the app and the Privateer CLI (not the developer API). It's a subscriber perk: holding top-up credit doesn't qualify on its own. Only GPT-5.6 Luna is included, not Luna Pro. If usage passes a daily ceiling — your own or the promo's overall — Luna returns to normal metered billing for the rest of that day — your chats keep working either way.

The ones served by our confidential-compute providers — Tinfoil, Phala and NEAR AI — run inside Intel TDX, NVIDIA Confidential Computing or AMD SEV-SNP hardware, and your device verifies the enclave's hardware attestation on every response. The app marks each model's protection in the picker before you send, and “verified” is claimed only where your own device does the attesting. Where a model has no enclave behind it, Privateer routes to zero-data-retention providers instead. Per-token rates for every confidential model are on the API pricing page.

Neither. No tier gates them: they're pickable on every plan including free Deckhand, and they spend the same monthly credit allowance as any other model, at their own per-token rate — several of them are among the cheaper models in the catalog. Guest chat, with no account at all, runs on a confidential model by default.

No — privacy isn't a paid feature. Every plan gets the same encryption: your messages, images, and titles are encrypted on your device before they're stored, and the server keeps ciphertext only. Tiers change your credit allowance and limits, never your privacy.
